Born about 1750 in Ypres, Belgium to Mateo Rubio and Gertrudis Bermon. Married Maria Ursula Dominguez on 28 April 1779 at San Diego Presidio (SD Marriage 00176). After her death, he married Maria Vicenta Mora on 3 February 1803 at Mission San Gabriel (SG Marriage 00758). Found dead on 15 July 1822 at Los Angeles, Alta California, having gone to bed well the previous day. Buried on 16 July 1822 at Mission San Gabriel (SG Death 04584).
