Margaret J. Abblitt passed away quietly, at the age of 95, with family at her bedside in the early morning hours of December 23, 2015, at 06:58 at Applegate House (Memory Care).She was a longtime resident of Grants Pass, Oregon, that spanned over 46 years. In 1968 she moved from Virginia to Oregon with her husband, Colonel William E. Abblitt, United States Marine Corps (Ret). Margaret dedicated six decades of her life to the service of taking care of Marines in war and peace. She would see her husband Bill transition from the Marine Corps, after 27 and a half years of military service, into earning a Master's Degree in Education and becoming a teacher at Grants Pass High School.Margaret attended the First Baptist Church of Grants Pass (now River Valley Community Church) and also Redwood Community Church. Her Christian Faith was the anchor point and foundation for her marriage and family.She was blessed with 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren over the course of her life.Margaret Jane Abblitt is survived by her five sons: David A. Abblitt (Veteran, U.S. Army, Troop A, 3rd Squadron 4th Cavalry, 25th Infantry Division 1966-1967 Vietnam); Lieutenant Colonel Donald L. Abblitt, US Marine Corps (Ret); Dr. James B. Abblitt DMD, MS, PC; Pastor Richard W. Abblitt, Calvary Heritage of Brookings, Oregon; and Colonel Robert J.
