Tillie graduated from Nickerson High School in 1944. She worked for 30 years at the Hutchinson Public Library. Tillie was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She loved spending time with her family, reading, and gardening. Tillie also enjoyed traveling, doing puzzles, and needle work.
On Oct. 23, 1944, she married Robert William McFadden in Hutchinson. He died Oct. 12, 2012.
Tillie is survived by children, Susan Saxton of Tucson, Ariz., Michael McFadden and wife Brenda of Frisco, Texas, Amy Pounds and husband Udean of Angleton, Texas; brother, David Richardson and wife Phyllis of Nickerson; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Paul, Carl, Jim Richardson; and sister, Gladys Heter Sargeant.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Don Johnson officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County, Hutchinson Public Library or First Presbyterian Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
