Samuel Isaac Johnson age 5 (6/6/10) went to be with Jesus April 19, 2016 after a mighty battle with a lifelong medical condition. He was tiny but mighty. His infectious smile stole the hearts of all who knew him. He exuded joy even on the darkest of days. And though he never said, "I love you," he loved with a fierce love that couldn't be missed.
Although his journey was one filled with suffering and pain, more hospital admissions than days at home some years, he never failed to help us find joy. His favorite things were his green blanket he called "me," chewy lamaze toys, and "wintomints" one in each hand. And babies, oh yes, babies. Music moved his soul. Even though he couldn't eat, he loved to look at food ads. And boy, was he a charmer. He never spoke more than a few words, and yet, he spoke volumes with his life. Thank you to the many nurses, doctors and caregivers who gave him an excellent quality of life. You are heroes, angels, Family, and friends.

Samuel is survived by parents Shelly and Donald Johnson of Ridgeland, SC. as well as 4 brothers and 4 sisters; Austin, Emily, Schuyler, Amelia, Elizabeth, Ezekiel, Shiloh, and Shayne-Aedyn. Paternal grandparents JD Johnson of Spring TX. Donna Johnson of Phoenix AZ. Maternal grandparents Giehl and Mary Beth King of Woodbridge VA. And many loving aunts uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death brother Seth David (2/8/16).
