Dr Eugene Meredith Shepherd Sr was born July 6, 1874 in Tennessee, and he was the son of David Judd Shepherd (1845-1919) and his wife Lassaphine Willomine "Lassie" (Neeley) Shepherd (1855-1926).
He was married on December 27, 1899 in Clay County to Minnie "Ada" Cullom (ca 1881- ), the daughter of Daniel Webster "Webb" Cullom (1838-1899) and Sarah Eleanor "Ella" (Hall) Cullom (1849-1938).
A medical doctor living at 327 Mockingbird Road, Nashville, he was 58 years old and married when he had a craniotomy at Vanderbilt Hospital and died of an acute secondary hemorrhage on September 30, 1932. Burial was on October 3rd in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
