Mary Elizabeth Clement the daughter of J.W. Clement and Mary Travers Clement was born September 14, 1876 near Busby, Kansas where she grew to womanhood. December 21, 1908 she was married to Henry Hawkins. They continued to make their home in this community until the death of Mr. Hawkins. June 12, 1941. She then moved to Howard, Kansas where she made her home till her death February 21, 1956. She leaves no surviving relitives, of her own. Mr. Hawkins brother's and their families have been her nearest of kin. She was loved by her neighbors and friends and will be greatly missed.
