Alice Kate "Allie" (Pace) (Crumpton) Taylor was born on January 20, 1857 in Kentucky, the daughter of Joseph Washington "Wash" Pace (1820–1891) and Harriet (Leeper) (Whitlow) Pace (ca 1826–1862).
She was married 1st to James Thomas "Kentucky" Crumpton (1853–before 1895), and he was the son of William Columbus Crumpton Jr (ca 1805–ca 1870) and his wife Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" (Lesley) Crumpton (ca 1811–1875). Allie was married 2nd about 1895 to James A Taylor (ca Jan 1849- ).
Living at 350 25th Avenue North, Nashville, she was 66 years old and a widow when she died of pulmonary TB at home on October 7, 1923. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery.
