Physician (Internal Medicine and Surgery) for 50 years in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio. Son of Alexander Scott (Scotland) and Mary Priestman (Canada), both of whom died in Cleveland.

Degree: 4 May 1898, M.D., Western Reserve University School of Medicine. One year postgraduate training in surgery, Northwestern University. Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USA.

Married to Alma Louise Bohnard, daughter of William Bohnard and Louisa M. Moser. One son, John Clynton Scott. Alma’s remains were cremated, however, the disposition of them is unknown. That is the same for their son, J. Clynton.

Dr. Scott was cremated with his remains scattered over the island retreat developed in 1924 by James A. Braden of Cleveland, the father-in-law of his son, John Clynton Scott. The retreat was then owned by his daughter-in-law, Helen Fishter Braden Scott. The island is located on Lake Penage, near Whitefish, Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Scott loved to fish there; he was also a magician and gave shows around Cleveland. The retreat remains in use by Braden’s direct descendants with a planned 100th anniversary bonanza in 2024.
