MANCHESTER—Funeral services were here Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Maud Hammond, 72, long a resident of Manchester, who died Sunday at her home; nee Maud Carner, daughter of the late Richard and Rose Hadaman Carner, in Clayton county, Iowa, Aug. 16, 1870; was married at Dubuque to Isaac Hammond, whose death occurred here about 23 years ago; leaves five children: Mrs. Grace Darland, Hutchinson, Kan.; William Stone, Manchester; Mrs. Elvira Duryea, Rockford, Ill.; Kier Rosencrans, Rockford, Ill.; and Mrs. Rose Bottleman, Manchester; and one brother, Harry Carner, of Rockford, Ill.; one son also preceded her in death.

Manchester, Ia. -- Funeral services were held at the Shelly Funeral Home here Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Maud Hammond, 72 who died Sunday at her home following a long illness. Allyn Carrothers, student pastor of the United Brethren Church officiated and burial was at Edgewood.
As Maud Carner, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carner, she was born in Clayton county, Iowa, Aug. 16, 1870. She was married at Dubuque to Isaac Hammond, whose death occurred about 23 years ago.
Surviving are five children: Mrs. Grace Darland, Hutchinson, Kan.; William Stone, Manchester; Mrs. Elvira Duryea and Kier Rosencrans, both of Rockford, Ill.; and Mrs. Rose Bottleman, Manchester; and one brother, Harry Carner, of Rockford, Ill.
One son also preceded her in death.
