Coon, Opie-57, of Walton, Roane County, died Sunday at Staats Hospital after a short illness.
Surviving are three sons, Opie Clarence, and David Lee, both at home, and Johnny Melvin with US Army at Fort Gordon, Ga.; a daughter, Lillie Mae, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Ramsey of Ravenswood and Mrs. Sadie Simms of Gauley Bridge; a brother, Doyal Coon of Walton; and one grandchild.
Service will be at 2 pm Tuesday in Mars Hills Methodist Church at Walton. Burial will be in Billy Hunt Cemetery at Ambler Ridge. The body is in Albert Myers and Son Funeral Home at Elkview.
