Sue has been missing since July 18, 1999, as a result of a drowning accident on the Des Moines River.
Sue was the daughter of William and Thelma Skinner Wilt. She was a 1969 graduate of Ottumwa High School and had been employed at Kmart for 10 years, Jim & Bob's Place and Construction Labor Local No. 566 of AF of L.
She married Michael Lee Conder on January 6, 1970. She was survived by her father, her husband; two daughters, Michelle Moore of Ottumwa and Stacey Conder of Ottumwa; two grandchildren; three brothers, John Wilt of Belknap and Mike and Bob Wilt of Ottumwa; two sisters, Judy Geith of Ottumwa and Doris Beuhler of Hedrick. She was preceded in death by her mother.
A memorial service was held for Sue at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, the Rev. John Freeman of the First Church of the Open Bible officiating.
