William Todd Chanley 1975 - 2010 William Todd Chanley was born in San Luis Obispo, CA on August 27, 1975 to Bill and Debbie Chanley.
After spending his school years in Bakersfield, he returned to the Central Coast and entered the Navy in February 1998. After his Boot Camp and training, he spent the remainder of military service at China Lake Naval Weapons Center in Ridgecrest, CA. He settled in San Diego, Ca. first working for Navair on Coronado Island. He then went to work for the Federal Government as a Safety Specialist attached to the Marine Corps at Miramar Air Base. He spent one tour in Iraq and was about to go to Afghanistan with the Air Wing he was attached to.
Todd was extremely outgoing and interested in everything. He loved working on old cars, family history, camping, traveling with friends and above all people in general, Todd never met a stranger.
He is survived by his many friends in San Diego and across the Country, his parents, Grandmother Merry Ellis, Grandmother Pat Hubble, many Uncles and Aunts, Cousins and one special Niece, Rhiannon Harris who is the Daughter of Todd?s sister Lindy who passed away in April 2000.
Todd passed away suddenly in his sleep on June 22, 2010 after a brief illness. Cremation has taken place at his request, and his ashes will be scattered at his favorite location at a later date.
