Stella was the daughter of Thomas (PA) and Alice (ENG) Gaun, and the sister of Florence, Alice, William J, Emily B (all of PA), John T (SC), Edna M, Walter Z, George E, Thomas A, and Edward H, (all of PA).

Stella M. Gaun Durchsprung, a homemaker and a resident of Springfield for almost 60 years, died June 25 at Fairview Nursing Home in Wyndmoor. She was 89.

She was a longtime member of the Wyndmoor and Flourtown Fire Company Auxiliaries.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harry J.; four sons, Thomas, Harry Jr. and Franklin, all of Oreland, and Herbert of Warminster; two daughters, Alice Barella of Wyndmoor and Ruth Grove of Erdenheim; 15 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were July 2 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Erdenheim. Memorials in Mrs. Durchsprung's name may be sent to the church. Interment was private.

Arrangements were by Craft Funeral Home of Erdenheim.
