Mrs. A. Virginia Nelson of Norcross died March 16, 2007. An active pink lady for many years at Piedmont Hospital, Mrs. Nelson was a Life Member of the Piedmont Auxilliary. When the AASH organization was first organized in Atlanta, she served as one of the earliest presidents.
She is survived by her husband, George J. Nelson; her daughter, Margaret (Meg) Fuhs and her husband Darrell of Woodstock; her son, Stephen G. Nelson of Norcross; and her two grandchildren, Nicholas Fuhs and Kaitlyn Fuhs.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, March 19, 2007 at 11am at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. The Rev. Jimmy Duffy will serve as celebrant. Interment Arlington Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 760 Pollard Blvd, SW, Atlanta GA.
