Obit: Grover "Ted" Behr, 87, of rural Frankfort, died at 9:55 p.m. May 24, 1991, in Clinton County Hospital, Frankfort, Indiana.

Mr. Behr had owned and operated Behr Tire Shop and had also been a purchasing agent for E&R Manufacturing in Kirklin for 27 years. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

He graduated in 1922 from Frankfort High School where he was captain of the basketball team and held the free-throw record more than 60 years. He also played basketball at Franklin College.

He was born August 9, 1903, in Pascola, Missouri, to Edward F. and Clidia Bogan Behr. He married Mary Lineback on August 23, 1925, and she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Phillip L. Behr of Frankfort; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Joan L.) Sterling of Frankfort; three sisters, Betty Johnson of Indianapolis, Vineeda Thompkins and Thelma Cory of Frankfort; three brothers, Robert Behr and Rudolph "Doc" Behr of Frankfort and Bill Behr of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort, Indiana.
