Catherine L. "Ma Bunny" (Connors) Abney 86, a Franklin resident since 1968, died Sunday July 18, 2010 at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Abney, who died in 1980. Born in Boston, January 3, 1924 a daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Fosse) Connors, she was raised and educated in Brookline. She retired many years ago as a clerk for the former Zayre Coprp. now TJMaxx Co. in Natick. She was a member of the AARP, an active member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, and enjoyed time spent with family, and knitting. She is survived by a son: Robert C. Abney and his wife Katherine of Falmouth, a daughter Susan M. Barbour of Franklin with whom she made her home. Seven grandchildren: Eric, David and Adam Barbour, Brian Connors and his wife Kim, Samantha Holbrook, Benjamin Abney and Kristine Abney. Three great-grandchildren: Reed Barbour, Mario Roach Jr., and Kaiden Searles. Her funeral service and burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Franklin are private.
