LANETT — Mr. Thomas Braxton Abner, 93, of Lanett passed away Friday, May 13, 2016, at EAMC-Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.
Graveside services will be held Monday, May 16 at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett with the Rev. Ricky Emory officiating.
Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley is in charge of arrangements.

(LANETT) Thomas Braxton Abner, 93, of Lanett died Friday, May 13, 2016, at EAMC Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.
Graveside services were Monday, May 16, at 2 p.m. EDT at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett with the Rev. Ricky Emory officiating.
Mr. Abner was born Dec. 28, 1922, in Clay County to the late William David Abner and Viola Ovelia Holloway Abner. Mr. Abner owned and operated Abner Body and Paint Shop until his retirement. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served during World War II.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth (wife, Joy) Abner of Valley; sister, Laura Childers of Wedowee; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maudie Young Abner; son, Waymon Abner; and several brothers and sisters.

A graveside service was held Monday May 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM EDT at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett: Visitation was Sunday 6:00PM EDT to 8:00PM at the funeral home, Funeral arrangements were handled by the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home, Inc. located in Valley, AL.
