The Courier, (Waterloo, IA), 09, Dec 1958 noted that Thomas J.L. Bell 317 Ricker, Waterloo, 38, and Edna Pates, Waterloo, 38 were licensed to wed. Apparently the marriage did not last long, an article in Jan 1960, noted that they had divorced and he was charged with assaulting her with a jar of cold cream.
