Coyla F. Agrey was born Jan. 24, 1909, in Miles City Mont., to Mary Tamma and Eugene Evans. She joined our Lord and Savior in Heaven Dec. 26, 2007. Graveside services will be held at a future date in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

She attended school in Miles City and, in 1928, she married John M. Agrey. Coyla was a resident of Bismarck for over 65 years. Coyla had been a volunteer at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, a quilter at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, superintendent of pre school Sunday school at Trinity Lutheran Church and a 50-year member and past worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. She had been named volunteer of the week by the Retired Senior Volunteer Program in the past.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings; her husband, John M. Agrey Sr.; her son, Neal Agrey; her grandson, Steven Agrey; and her son-in-law, Johan Thorson.

She is survived by her son, John Agrey Jr., and daughter-in-law, Marjorie; her daughter-in-law, Rita Agrey; her daughters, Naola Thorson and Karen Nelson; her sisters, Jean Houser and Harriet Schweikert; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
