Carol B. McCoy, age 91, of Dixon, died Friday, May 13, 2016, in her home following a short illness. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, February 19, 1925, the daughter of Herbert and Margaret (Brockel) Germanson.
Carol was a secretary for St. Mary's School in Dixon for 25 years and also St. Patrick Catholic Church office for 10 years.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon, and the Catholic Women's Club.
Carol married Donald McCoy in Dixon, February 15, 1947. He preceded her in death August 18, 1983. She was also preceded in death by 1 brother Herbert Germanson; 2 sisters Miriam Traynor and a sister in infancy.
Survivors include her children Michael (Anne) McCoy of Woodstock, Kathleen Hochstein of Dixon, Timothy (Monica) McCoy of Ft. Myers, FL, Eileen (Robert) Vogel of Iowa City, IA, Dennis (Donna) McCoy of Dixon, and David (Kris) McCoy of Mineral Point, WI; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Neil Germanson of Dixon.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, beginning with a 9:30 AM prayer service in the Jones Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon with the Rev. Bernard Sehr, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 17, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM with the Rosary recited at 7:30 PM in the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice and Home.
