Died September 15, 1871, near Springfield, Illinois, while traveling with family from Missouri to Indiana

Philbert died 15 Sep 1871 as a result of an overturned wagon as he and his pregnant wife and 2 small daughters were traveling to another state for his health. His actual grave site is lost to time.
