Age 56, passed away at Rochester, Minnesota, Monday afternoon. He was born July 25, 1913 in Neenah and had been a resident of Neenah for the past four years. He had lived in Menasha prior to that. He had been employed at the Menasha Corporation for 36 years. Mr. Thorne was a member of the Nicholet Council Knights of Columbus, the Holy Name Society of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Neenah, and the Forty-niner Club of the Menasha Corporation. Survivors are his wife, Irene; two daughters, Mrs. Lester (Lynn) Hansen, Neenah, Mrs. Norbert (Laura) Kozlowski Jr., Freedom; two brothers, Charles, Neenah, Donald, Cheyenne, Wyoming; one sister, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Pavletzke, Menasha; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the Laemmrich Funeral Home and at 10:30 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Neenah, with the Rev. Michael CLifford officiating. Burial will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Rosary by the Holy Name Society and general rosary will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday. A memorial is being established."
