"CHARLESTON CIVIL WAR VETERAN PASSES AWAY
Special to Journal-Gazette.
Charleston, Ill., Dec. 30. - James Moore, a veteran of the civil war, died at 12:05 o'clock this morning at the age of seventy-five years. Mr. Moore had been ill for two weeks, suffering from Bright's disease.
Surviving are the widow, his second wife, and two brothers, Samuel Moore, living in Mode, and Walter, whose residence is unknown.
Funeral services will be held from the Whetstone church, south of Charleston, on Wednesday morning at ten o'clock, burial being made in the adjoining cemetery."
