My grandfather, Boyd Willard McCaskill was the 1st of 5 children born to Elizabeth "Eliza" (Loftis) and John Beal McCaskill.
He and Vera Phillips were married August 19, 1925 in Garvin County, Oklahoma.

RITES HELD FOR RESIDENT
Boyd Willard McCaskill, 56, died June 5 at the Wynnewood hospital. Services were held Monday afternoon at First Baptist church where he was a member. Rev. Henry Chennault, pastor, and Rev. Carl Higgs, pastor of Presbyterian church, officiated at the services.
Interment was in Green Hill cemetery under the direction of Bahner Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ed McCaskill, Laverne Clubb, Tip Jones, Spurgeon McCaskill, Johnny McCaskill, and Herbert McCaskill. Honorary bearers were Budge Rawlins, James Fountain, Guy Rodermund, and Chester Riddle.
McCaskill, a native of Hennepin, had lived in Davis for about a year. He was retired from Halliburton company and moved here from Perryton, Tex. MeCaskill had been ill about four years.
Survivors include his wife of the home; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth McCaskill of Hennepin; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Jones of Odessa, Tex., Mrs. Doris Meador of Davis, Mrs. Beth Wiggin of Borger, Tex., and Mrs. Laveta McCormick of Cuero, Tex.; two sons, Jerry and John, both of the home; a sister, Mrs. L.Z. Price of Cyril; two brothers, Lowell of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Ward of Oklahoma City, and 14 granchildren.
