Anna was the fourth of ten children born to Ella Mae Harmon and James Massena Phillips.

She and Thomas Loyd Conlin, Sr. married Sept. 26, 1928 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and had one child, Charlcie Ann Conlin.

She later married Laurence "Larry" Shields.

Conlin – Phillips

Mr. Loyd Conlin and Miss Anna Phillips surprised their friends by getting married last week. The wedding took place in Ardmore on the evening of Sept. 26, Rev. Geo. Davis, Methodist pastor, officiating.

The bride is the charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Phillips and has lived in and hear Davis a number of years. For some time she has been employed at Lyons café. The groom has worked at the café the past two years and is a steady, reliable young man.

The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Conlin extend hearty good wishes for their future welfare.

Funeral services for Anna P. Shields, 81, Davis, were May 12 at Fox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Finis Steelman officiating. Interment was at Green Hill Cemetery with Fox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Shields was born April 23, 1911 at Colbert and died May 10 at Burford Manor, Davis. Her parents were James M. and Ella Mae Harmon Phillips. She moved to Davis in 1976 from California. She had worked as secretary and bookkeeper for Otis Elevator Company.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlcie Ann Taylor of Billings, Montana; two sisters, Mary Hill of Davis, and Ruth Snider of Mansfield, Texas; a brother, Roy Phillips of Modesto, California; and three grandchildren, Pamela Farrell, Melanie Bennett and Charles Taylor.

Pallbearers were Jerry Don Hefley, Randy Moore, Gary Sanders, Bo Meador, Thad Sandusky and J.B. Snider.
