My grandmother, Bertha May Owens was the 2nd of 8 children born to Luvena Sophie (Catron) and James Harvey Owens.

After Bill died in 1935, she married Oscar T. Tilley on June 15, 1940 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Tilley Succumbs
Mrs. Bertha May Tilley, 74, of Davis died Oct. 31 in the Arbuckle Memorial hospital, Sulphur.
She was born March 5, 1894, in Kentucky and moved to Davis 45 years ago from Sulphur. For the past six years she was been living in Artesian Nursing Home in Sulphur.
Mrs. Tilley was school photographer at Davis from 1935 until 1955. She was the widow of Oscar Tilley.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bahner Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Leroy Tignor officiating. Interment was in Green Hill cemetery, Davis.
Pallbearers were Boo Broaddrick. Claude Lovett, Roland Robinson, Jodie Lovett, and Roy Peterman.
She is survived by a son, Robert Meador of Davis; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Gasaway of Ardmore, Mrs. Ruby Hamer of Choctaw, Okla., Mrs. Ola Henington of Wolf City, Texlk and Mrs. Jessie Scott of Konawa, Okla.; and three grandchildren, Judy, Barbara, and Kent Meador, all of Davis.
