**Willis Henry "Fat" Ward, 79, of Bartlesville died Tuesday at his home.
**Mr. Ward was born July 21, 1910, at Ramona to Cleophus and Rose Marie (Redeker) Ward. He grew up and received his education in the Ramona area. He married Vivian Virginia Adcock on Dec. 10, 1938, at Ramona. They lived in Ramona until moving to Bartlesville in 1943. Mr. Ward worked for the City of Bartlesville water department until he retired in 1977. Mrs. Ward preceded him in death on Jan. 11, 1978. Mr. Ward had continued living in Bartlesville since. He was a member of the First Christian Church and life member of the Bartlesville Masonic Lodge #284 A.F. & A. M. He was a past member of the Bartlesville Sportsman's Club. He also was preceded in death by a son, Curt Ward, on Dec. 24, 1982; and a great-granddaughter, Stephanie Jane Ward, on Jan. 6, 1988.
Survivors include two sons; LTC (R) Dennis Ward of Lawton and Karl Ward of Houston, Texas; three brothers; C. B. (Bunt) Ward Jr. of Ramona, R. E. (Cody) Ward of Ramona and Wayne Ward of Ramona; two sisters; Rose Nicholson of Ramona and Belle Bramy of San Clemente, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
**Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Benton of the First Christian Church officiating. Masonic rites will be given by the Bartlesville Masonic Lodge #284 A. F. & A. M. Interment will be in the Ramona Cemetery under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home.
