Barbara Ann Poehls, age 60, of Cloquet, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Franciscan Health Center in Duluth.
She was born February 22, 1947 in Oakland, CA to Andrew and Corabel (Ozias) Ahlborn. Barbara spent many years living in the Gunflint Trail area working as fishing guide. She worked numerous jobs and did many things through her life. She was a kind hearted, loving person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone. Barbara lived life on her own terms, loved many and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Kathy Powers.
She is survived by one daughter, Tina Greenlee of Audubon, NJ; two sisters, Sandy (Jerry) Drenner of Trevor, WI and Bonnie (Larry) Cox of Spring, TX; and two grandchildren, Jade Bates and Shane Greenlee and her partner of 16 years, Joe Crotteau.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 8, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, conducted by Rev. Michael Fossen. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family has selected Nelson Funeral Care to assist them with arrangements.
