August 8, 1934 - May 18, 2016 M. J. Jennings, age 81 of Birmingham passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016. He was retired from Walter S. White, Steel City Oldsmobile and Kodak. He was a member and Deacon of the Freewill Baptist Church. M. J. was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra L. Jennings; his parents; sisters: Molly Norton and Ruby Jennings; brothers: Robert and John Jennings. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Bobbie McCreless Jennings; daughters: Melissa (Jeff) Estes; Patricia (Kevin) Northcutt and Lori (Scott) Ward; his grandchildren: Kyle Isbell, Kevin and Marcum Northcutt; Morgan and Michael Ward; sister, Sue Franklin and many nieces and nephews. His service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
