St. Marys-Mrs. Elizabeth Sophia Engle, 68, Route 4, Sidney, mother of Mrs. Homer (Grace) Kruse of R.R.3, died Wednesday afternnoon of a heart condition developing from surgery in Lima Memorial Hospital Her husband, Samuel E. Engle, survives with five children, Mrs. Kruse, Mrs. Arthur (Alice) Heiland, Anna; Robert Engle, Sidney, Mrs. Ralph (Kathryn) Baughman and Mrs. Leonord (Mabel) Ruff of Jackson Center; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Bruggeman, Sidney and Mrs. Harry (Bertha) Wiehe, New Bremen, one half-brother, Theodore Kuck, New Knoxville; and one half-sister, Mrs. Lena Hoffman, New Bremen. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. F.J. Mittermaier Sunday afternoon at the St. Jacobs Lutheran church, Anna. Burial will be at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders.
