Miss Emma M. Hess of 23 South Church Street, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Waynesboro Hospital. She suffered a heart attack Tuesday and was removed to the hospital. For the last six months she had been suffering from a heart condition.
She was born in Washington Township, the daughter of Joseph and Nancy (Bonebrake) Hess. All her life was lived in Waynesboro and Washington Township. She was lifelong member of the Methodist Church.
She is survived by a number of nephews and nieces.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Methodist Church in charge of the Rev. Bart E. Crites.
Burial will be made in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 - 9 p.m. Friday at the Grove Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service at the church.
