CANEY - William Bryan Barry, 76, of Peru, Ks. died Monday at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Ks. He was born Oct. 28, 1898 in Coffeyville and was married to Pauline Sterling, Nov. 22, 1926 at Bartlesville, Okla. She survives and lives in Ellinwood. He had lived in Chautauqua County west of Caney and in Ellinwood, living there for many years moving to Peru, Ks. ten years ago. He had been a former employee of the city service company and later in the oil field work in Ellinwood.

Survivors are three daughters: Mrs. Betty Wenke, Mrs. Barbara Scheufler and Mrs. Dorthy Churchill, all of Ellinwood; son: Patrick Barry of Williamsburg, Va.; one brother: Dan A. Barry, Lebanon, Oreg.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services with Rev. Wilbur Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the El Cado Cemetery, west of Caney in Chautauqua County.
