Lucille Delaney, age 93, of Springboro, OH, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Springfield, Illinois on December 22, 1924 the daughter of Charles and Floy (Blemling) Scott.
Lucille was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Springboro. She was retired from R. L. Drake Company. She volunteered with Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg and the Springboro Chamber of Commerce for several years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Scott, mother, Floy Scott, husband, Merle D. DeLaney, Sr. to whom she was married for 68 years, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Lucille is survived by her brother, Harold E. (Betty) Scott, and her three sons, Merle (Sandra) DeLaney Jr., Kenneth (Kathi) DeLaney, and Bradley (Kim) DeLaney; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday January 8, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, 60 North Street, Springboro, OH beginning at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Amy Haines officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton and/or the First United Methodist Church of Springboro.
