Clarence Ball, age 88, of Hammond entered into his eternal home Sunday, May 16, 1993 at St. Margaret Hospital Hammond. He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Doris; son, Clarence (Jacqueline) Ball of Nice, California; daughter, Carol Phares of Sunnyvale, California; two sisters, Geraldine (Charles) Cheknis of Cedar Lake, In., and Patricia (Otis) Kallenbach of Kingman, Indiana; sister-in-law, Violet Ball of Los Angeles, California; two brothers-in-law, Clyde (Hazel) Roberts of Hammond and Dale D. Roberts of Ft. Myers, Florida; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother, Joseph E. Ball of Los Angeles, California in February of this year.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at the C.J. Huber Funeral Home, 722-165th St., Hammond with the Rev. John B. Luttmann officiating. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Friends may call at the C.J. Huber Funeral Home Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Mr. Ball was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church ELGA in Plymouth, Indiana; retired from Atlantic Richfield Research Laboratories with 20 years of service; Army veteran with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II and was an interior decorator in Hammond for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Northwest Indiana or the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plymouth, Indiana.
