DIMMITT - Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Coventry, 91, of Dumas, a member of one of Castro County's early settler families, were to be at 3:30 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church of Dimmitt.

The Rev. Jim Pickens, pastor, was to officiate. Burial was to be in Castro Memorial Gardens by Dennis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Coventry died in her home in Dumas late Sunday.

Born Jan. 7, 1878, in Mitchell County, Kan., she had lived in Castro County for years before moving to Dumas.

Survivors include her sons, Dwight and Clem Coventry, both of Saint Jo and Dr. Vaden Coventry of Dumas; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Bales of Washington state and Mrs. Evlin Harris of Austin.
