Son of Stephen and Mary Stewart, brother of Lispenard, Virginia, Stephania, and Mary. Found by the court to be insane in 1865 was sent first to Northern Ohio Luntic Asylum then Longview. Became the subject of numerous lawsuits concerning his care, and the land held in trust for his care. His sister Mary was named guardian then his sister Virginia. Stephen's Sr. second wife disputed claims made.
