WHEELING--Francis L. (Fats) Taylor, 42 of 25 Meriland Ave., died Saturday at 11:30 p.m. in the Brecksville Veterans Hospital after an illness of 10 years. Mr. Taylor was born at Mt. Olivett, Ohio, the son of Herbert and Myrtle Thatcher Taylor of Steubenville. He served in the South Pacific during World War II and was a member of the VFW of Wheeling. He was a member of Thompson Methodist Church of Wheeling Island. Mr. Taylor leaves his parents; his widow, Mrs. Jane Taylor; one daughter, Karen Sue at home; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Mae Collins and Mrs. Blanche Settles, both of Steubenville, and Mrs. Sadie Belle Kerwood of Brilliant; two brothers, Clarence Taylor of Brilliant and Russell Taylor of Mingo Junction. Friends may call at the Fields Funeral Home in Wheeling from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. today and Tuesday. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Melvin Risinger will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
