BARKER, Robert "Bob" Guy Age 71, passed away at home in Santa Rosa, CA on May 7, 2016, surrounded by his wife and daughters. He died from cancer caused by exposure to Agent Orange during his service in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Bob was born on March 4, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Harry "Duke" Marvin Barker and Frances Vincenzia Barker. Bob met his future wife, Judith "Judi" Ann Lisanti, in study hall during his senior year at Kelly High School in Chicago. Bob left college his sophomore year and voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served in Vietnam. Upon returning from Vietnam he and Judi married in Fort Knox, KY and returned to Chicago. He earned his Bachelor's degree from ITT and Master's degrees from University of Chicago. In the late 80's Bob moved the family to Northern California to get a break from the Chicago winters. He enjoyed trips to the coast and loved hiking in Annadel. He devoured the daily jumble and crossword puzzle. He was also an avid reader; a trait he passed along to his three daughters. Their daughters provided him with seven grandchildren to spoil and play with. Bob is survived by his wife, Judi; daughters, Megan Barker Bowen, Courtney Barker (Micah), and Shannon Barker (Dennis); grandchildren, Jackson, Cailin, Solaya, Beck, Zane, Ezra and Jameson; mother, Frances Barker; and siblings, Thomas Barker, Sandra Barker, and Marjory Wiley. Private services will be held. Any memorial donations should go to F.I.S.H. to P.O. Box 4291, Santa Rosa CA 95402 where Bob volunteered during his retirement.
