Infant Daughter of Hollis Unite Keith
and Myrtle Pearle Lawrence Keith

Eula was the first born of Hollis and Myrtle. Hollis was in the Army and Myrtle was working at a nearby Farm. She fell down some stairs and miscarried. Thus Eula was premature. She lived about 2 weeks. Family story has, she was so tiny, she was kept in a open shoebox with cotton balls and oil, and cared for on the opened wood burning kitchen stove door to be kept warm. Hollis, this Biographers Grand Father, never saw his baby. Grandmother Myrtle was so ill; her Brother Arthur Lawrence facilitated the baby's interment. This marker was placed and positioned in the 1960's with the help of Great Uncle Arthur and cemetery records. Eula's resting place had previously been unmarked since 1918.

The "S" denoting Myrtle's middle initial is a typo or error. Friends of Eula's younger sister, Barbara Mae Keith McAlister, who were in the memorial business, donated the marker.

Special note!

The Keith family doesn't really care what the birth and death certificates say,
Eula's middle name was Holly! Eula's mother was my grandmother, she approved the stone lettering. There is no Hawly surname in our family, it would be nice if
