John Bennett is claimed by death

Funeral Rites on Saturday Afternoon

John Bennett, 85, a life long resident of Switzerland Co., passed away at the county infirmary, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 P.M. Mr. Bennett, who had been handicapped by blindness for the past ten years, was ill for several weeks before death occurred. He was the son of Henry and Lucinda Chase Bennett and was born near Patriot, IN on August 11, 1911. He was married to Miss Alice Turner who preceded him in death. Mr. Bennett, followed farming as a means of livelihood, as long as his health permitted but he had been a resident of Vevay for some time. He is survived by three sons; John W., Joe T. and James R., all at home and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Francis Henry of near Rising Sun, IN. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home and interment will be in Mead Cemetery in Posey Township.
