LASTRUP - Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church for Mrs. Raymond (Elizabeth Ann) Poser, 66, who died Tuesday at St. Mary's Villa, Pierz.
The Rev. Greg Poser will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Brenny Funeral Home, Pierz. Christian mothers will pray at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home followed by parish prayers at 8 and Knights of Columbus at 9.
Mrs. Poser was born April 15, 1918, in Lastrup to the late George and Martha Welle. She married Raymond Poser Sept. 16, 1946, in Lastrup where they farmed. She was a member and former president of Christian Mothers and served as deanery secretary for Diaocesan Counccil of Catholic Women. She was active in the community and volunteered in parish school events, even after amputation of her legs, and was honored by a "Liz Poser Day" at the school. The bishop awarded her with his Medal of Merit in October 1983.
Survivors include her husband; sons and daughters, Rev. Greg, OSC, St. Paul; Cletus, Minneapolis; Sev, Pierz; Gene, Genola; Mrs. David (Gladys) Tripp, Brooklyn Park; Mrs. Eileen Hoffman, North Hollywood, Calif.; Laura, Hutchinson; brothers and sister, Al and Leo, Lastrup; Zita, Pierz; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gary, Bruce and Brian Poser and Dennis, Mike and Clarence Welle.
