Jack Arrowood

April 12, 1925 - October 25, 2006

Jack Arrowood, age 81, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Sunrise Rehab. & Care Center. A native of McDowell County, Jack was born April 12, 1925 and was a son of the late John Levi Arrowood and Getty Dixon Arrowood.

He and his brothers operated a logging business. He had a loving and tender heart for children.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Bonnie Cable Arrowood and a son, Charles Earl Arrowood.

Surviving Mr. Arrowood are three children, Barbara Arrowood Burnette and husband Bobby of Marion, John Frank Arrowood and wife Fran of Marion and Lori Arrowood Murray and husband Chris of Marion; two sisters, Sylvia Medford and Ella Mae Clark of Marion; one brother, Walter Arrowood of Marion; four grandchildren, Katie, Linzee, Amber and Laken and one great grandchild, Piper.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 27, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in Westmoreland Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Upton and Rev. Larry Gentry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Arrowood Cemetery.
