My heart is heavy with much sadness as I write this post. Feb 27, 2015 my son passed away in his sleep. I have lost my only son. My daughter, her only brother. Please pray for my son and my family. Michael James Kollmann was born April 26 1973. Michael was a beautiful boy, my heart and my mind is flooded with so many memories of my son throughout his short lived life. Michael was born in Wichita Kansas. We moved to Tucson when he was just 6 years old. Michael loved to play baseball and soccer. He played with the CDO Little League for many of his young years as shortstop and what a great player he was. Michael attended Mesa Verde Elementary, Cross Jr Hi and Canyon Del Oro High. Michael became an accomplished carpenter and sharpened his skills as a Commercial Acoustical Tile Installer. Michael was a perfectionist in his skills and his life. He moved back to Wichita a few years ago for employment opportunities. I will dearly miss my son, his beautiful smile, the sound of his laughter, his warm hugs. I will forever miss hearing him say, "I love you, Mother". Michael is survived by his Mother, Anna Mae Baxter of Tucson AZ, sister, Michelle (Kollmann) Estep (Kenny), 2 nieces and a nephew, Kristen Estep and Austin Estep of Tucson, and PVT Sierra Estep USAF. 2 uncles, Jim Baxter(Vicki) of Westland MI and Danny Baxter of Kissimmee Fl. and many, many cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his father, SSGT Melvin F Kollmann Jr, USAF, grandparents Blanche and Melvin Kollmann of Toledo OH, Betty and Leo Baxter of Wichita KS.
Dear Lord, please keep my son close.
