Anna F. (Bertoni) Carroll, 88 of East Falmouth, Mass., formerly of Franklin, Mass. passed away into eternal rest on September 20, 2014.

Born and raised in Franklin, MA in 1925, she was the youngest child to the late Alfonso and Christina Bertoni, sister to her predeceased siblings Clementina, Elio, Ascenzio, and Nicolas Bertoni all formerly from Franklin. Her husband of 49 years, James W. Carroll, Jr. predeceased her in 1998 shortly after they relocated to Falmouth.

A 1943 graduate of Franklin HS she was active playing many sports and captaining the cheerleading squad. Her working career began during WWII at the Plymouth Rubber Co, Canton, MA and while raising her family she worked full time as a long time employee of the Franklin School Department as executive secretary in the Business office. Her math skills were exceptional.

She was a daily communicant of St. Anthony's Parish East Falmouth and St. Mary's of Franklin, volunteered for many organizations throughout her life, was a founder of the St. Rocco's Festival at St. Mary's in Franklin and continued volunteering at the Falmouth Service Center where she continued to help until her recent injury.

She leaves her 3 children, James E. Carroll of Easton, Joan M. Napoli and husband Peter of Little River, SC, Joseph P. Carroll and wife Kathryn of West Barnstable, daughter-in-law Nancy Carroll of Mansfield, and grandchildren, Christine Wright of Boston, Timothy Wright of Boston, Jonathan and Harmony Carroll of Mashpee, Benjamin Carroll of Mansfield, Jeremy Carroll of Mansfield, Jack Carroll of Boston, Kevin Carroll of West Barnstable and by two great grandchildren, Andrew and Liam Carroll, both of Mashpee. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Always an avid fan of the Boston sports teams, her car was easily identified with her favorite college teams of her grandchildren, Clemson Tigers, USC Trojans, VT Hokies, BU Terriers, GWU Colonials, and the LMU Lions.
