Obituary for A.C. Wade
A memorial service for A.C. Wade, 90, of Ft. Valley will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. The family will meet with friends immediately following the service.
Mr. Wade, a former long-time resident of Cordele, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Mitchell Wade.
He was born in Cordele, Crisp County, the son of the late James Aaron and Rosa Ione Byrd Wade. A veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Wade served his country during World War II. He was an entrepreneur and a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church.
Mr. Wade is survived by his children and their spouses, Katherine and Wyndell Cook of Fort Valley, Mickey and Faye Wade of Cordele and Dicy and Bill Sinclair of Gainesville; six grandchildren, Christy Green, Brinna Gamblin, William Sinclair, Rebecca Wade, David Wade and Tracy Fulton; and ten great-grandchildren, Abby Green, Caleb Green, Maris Gamblin, Graeme Gamblin, Barrett Gamblin, Haley Wade, Emily Wade, Jensen Wade, Lauren McNiel and Aiden McNiel.
