HUNTINGTON - Hiram Owen Baird, Jr., 58, died June 21st.
Born June 10, 1920 in Oxford, Miss., the son of Hiram Owen and Pauline Arden Owen Baird, Sr. He married Shirley Beth Grassmeier July 30, 1962 in Arkansas.
He was employed as an electrician with Jelco at the Huntington plant. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors are his widow of Huntington, son William Owen of Huntington, daughter Nancy Klaw of Memphis, Tenn. Stepchildren Geral Barnes, Bakersfield, Calif., Michelle Stofer of Santa Clara, Calif., Lauri Westwick of Boulder City, Nev., 5 grandchildren. Parents Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Baird, Sr. of Poplarville, Miss., 2 sisters Elizabeth Russell of Diamond Head, Miss., and Ruth Lynn Prados of Knoxville, Tenn. Funeral services and burial were conducted in Poplarville, Miss. Friday.
