Carrie Elizabeth Barry was the daughter of Theodore Barry and Mary Amanda Hontz. She married Robert Elias Morrison on December 24, 1901 in White Haven, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

They had the following children: Vera, Avis, Theodore, Lillian, Harold, Maxwell, Clyde, Doris, Thomas, Ruth, Marguerite, Edward, John, Gertrude and Lenore, who was their biological granddaughter whom they adopted.
