Tourdot, Karen Ann - (nee Steele) Born In St. Paul, MN On Aug. 30, 1942, and passed away at her home in Lindstrom, MN on July 18, 2004 after a 2 1/2 year battle with lung cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband Earl of 41 years; son Kurt; and granddaughter Alyssa; daughter Kimberly (William) Walker & unborn grandson William III; mother Margaret Crupi; sisters Roxanne Larsen, Linda Tepe, & Kathleen Brackey; brothers Thomas Steele & Richard Crupi; many nieces, nephews & friends. She was preceded in death by father Millard Steele; brother Michael Crupi & nephew David Wieken. Karen recently retired as Director of Meeting Planning for Minnesota Medical Association after a 43 year career. She served as president of the Minneapolis Ostomy Association & also held offices at the regional & national level. Karen was also president of the St. Paul Chapter of Executive Women International. Karen & Earl enjoyed spending time at their home in Gilbert, AZ over the past 10 years. Funeral service 11AM Thursday July 22, 2004 at ST. BRIDGET OF SWEDEN CATHOLIC CHURCH in Lindstrom, MN. Visitation 5-8PM Wednesday at GRANDSTRAND FUNERAL HOME, Lindstrom, MN & one hour before service at church. Interment Oakland Cemetery in St. Paul, MN. Memorials to United Ostomy Association, Minneapolis Chapter or American Cancer Society-restricted to lung cancer research 651-257-4000.
