Creed was a Bugler in Captain Thornton's Company of Virginia Light Artillery. He enlisted at Bowling Green in 1862.

C T. Jeter died at his home at Ashland, Va., Saturday, aged 78.
Mr. Jeter was born in Caroline County, and served in the Confederacy army three years.
In 1860 he married Evelyn Taliaferro and after her death married her sister, Fannie Taliaferro.
In 1909 he moved from King William County to Ashland.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. T.E. Jeter, of Halifax county, and Miss L.M. Jeter, of Ashland, and by four sons: W.R. Jeter and T.B. Jeter, of Penola, Va., and J.B. Jeter and R.C. Jeter, of Richmond.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery at Ashland. The Free Lance, - Feb. 16, 1922.
