BERNARD, GENEVIEVE M. ROGERS Genevieve M. Bernard, 85, of West Haven passed away Thursday August 21, 2014 at Apple Rehab. She was the wife of the late Edward Bernard. Mother of Marion Bernard (Kenneth) Sacco, Edward (Christine) Bernard III and Gregory (Debra) Bernard. Sister of Myrtle Dorman and the late Alice Marvin & James Seery Sr. Also survived by ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was born in New Haven, November 27, 1928, daughter of the late Michael and Marion Kirck Rogers. For many years she worked for Amendola Brothers Beauty Supply and the dining services at Yale University until her retirement. She was a member of the Boardwalk Boppers and the West Haven Irish American Club, but most important to her was her loving family and many friends. Visitation will be Monday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 in St. Lawrence Church.
